Christine Lee McIntyre
Christine was born in Peterborough, ON. She was raised on a dairy farm at Mather’s Corners, a small hamlet outside of Peterborough. She attended Sheridan College from 1974 - 1977 studying Interpretive Illustration. Upon graduating, she worked for Ambiance Designs in Oakville, ON, designing wall coverings and textiles for the next 37 years. She re-located to Kelowna, BC with the company until the owners retired in 2009.
She freelanced for Borders Unlimited in Shelbyville, Kentucky in the same industry for another couple of years.
She currently owns a rubber stamp manufacturing business in Kelowna with her partner, Mike Brennan.
Due to her years of painting , rendering and re-coloring vintage florals, paisleys and a large variety of children’s themes, her work is highly detailed. Her mediums of choice are gouache and watercolor.
