All of my art is printed on archival paper or canvas in the form of a Giclée.

What is a Giclée.

Giclée Prints are a form of digital printmaking, used for limited edition reproductions of original artwork and digital images.

Giclée (pronounced gee-clay) is a relatively new print process and its name is used to identify prints made through a process of spraying ink onto paper. Giclée is French for to spray.

A Giclée style printer differs from conventional inkjet and sign-making printers, in that the inks and papers are not only designed for long-term archival display and storage, but also for very high image quality. Pigment Inks and specially designed Acid-Free and PH-Neutral papers are used to create an amazingly wide palette of color and a super long print life of up to 50 - 200 years!

The beauty of this form of printmaking is that it is a hybrid of both new technology and classic printmaking. Being finer in detail and having a wider range of color than tradition offset printing, Giclée is usually produced in small runs and limited editions, which allows artist to create a wide assortment of prints and the process adds to the value of those works. Giclée bridges the gap between handmade prints and large run lithography. Some artists chose to draw or paint into their Giclée edition (for both aesthetics and for that personal touch), while other rely on the accuracy of the printer and operator for their final image. printers, in that the inks and papers are not only designed for long-term archival display and storage, but also for very high image quality.
